zazen Water was founded by 2 professional women

With backgrounds in marketing, commerce & natural health, we became aware of the trends around the health & wellbeing of our children and future generations.

“When we first heard in 2005 that the current generation will be the first generation to live a shorter lifespan than previous generations, we were shocked, and felt a deep responsibility to act (especially for Janet, with 23 nieces and nephews ranging from the ages of 5 to 25 at the time!). Our mission is to contribute to a reversal in these trends in child health in Australia in our lifetime.

We asked ourselves, if there was a single thing we could do to help reverse this awful expectation for the current generation, what would it be? We decided to focus on one particular aspect of the Wellness industry — the Secret of Water. Most people understand that water and hydration are critical for health and wellbeing. But we knew that NOT ALL WATER IS THE SAME.

Have you ever drunk a couple of glasses of tap water only to feel bloated? The water simply sits in your belly because the water is not in a state that can be properly absorbed or assimilated into the body. zazen Water is alkaline, mineralised water which is in the perfect state (emulates natural spring water created by Mother Nature’s water cycle) for absorption. Only when the body is hydrated at this foundational, cellular level, can the body’s natural healing properties activate.

We have seen and experienced the difference in people’s general health and energy levels from drinking alkaline, mineralised water.  No amount of good food, juice and milk will compensate for a lack of water in children’s bodies. Proper hydration with sufficient quality and quantity water is paramount to the health, vitality and longevity of our children. zazen aims to educate families on what’s hiding in our drinking water & the impact it has on our health and wellbeing – simply change your water to change your life!

Our research indicated that no one else was focused on the importance of child hydration and the essential health and healing properties of water.  That has become our unique purpose in the Wellness industry.

Our mission is to give every child free access to the highest quality drinking water all day, every day in school (at no cost to the school) – we believe it’s their right! zazen was thus created as a Social Business Enterprise where we measure our success on:

• the number of children educated on the Secret of Water through our Water Ambassador Lessons; and
• the number of free zazen systems in classrooms throughout Australia; and
• the number of families drinking zazen Water in the home.

One of our key Social Projects, developed to achieve this vision is the zazen Water Ambassador School Program, which was launched in 2008 in Australia. So far we have gifted over $650,000 in zazen systems and replacement filters to over 40 schools throughout Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria with our dedicated and passionate team of Water Angels – we are grateful to each and every one of them.
